How to replace a broken, damaged or burnt out license plate bulb to the 08 Honda Civic

step 1 :Removing the License Plate Light Bulbs
- Open the trunk
- Release the license plate light socket tab
- Pull the socket out of the trunk
- Pull the bulb off the socket

step 2 :Installing the License Plate Light Bulbs
- Push the new bulb onto the socket
- Clip the socket into the trunk
- Close the trunk

Above your license plate there are two license plate light bulbs or housings. If you need to replace these bulbs, open the trunk. There's one here and one here. You can push in on this tab and wiggle on this cable. It'll just pop out of place. It's a 194 bulb; just pull it out.
Put it back in. Reinstall it. Slide it back into place. It's got a little lock and it's got little guides. Put this into place. So, this will be the same as this one over here.
