How to remove and replace the key fob battery from an 09 Toyota Camry
Hi. I'm Mike from 1AAuto. We've been selling auto parts for over 30 years!
To change the battery in this remote for the 2009 Camry, take a small, flat-bladed screwdriver. Just put it in here and separate the case. The case will open up.
There's an inner part. Be careful not to let this rubber piece fall out because it's also holding in all of your buttons, so just kind of put it face down so they stay together. This is the actual electronic part of your key. There's a little diagram on here that says, "To open, use coin." So, I'm going to use this penny here. It fits pretty well. Just separate it and then, inside is a 2016 battery. So, to change this old battery, take the little flat-bladed screw driver. I'm just going to put my thumb over it because it's got some spring to it. As soon as you pop it, it wants to spring out.
I’m just going to install the new battery. The positive side goes up. Just push it in place. A little tricky. Wipe that off. Now it's together. This will actually sit in here. Put the case back. And this sits back in here. And you snap it back together.
