step 1 :Removing the Door Handle
- Remove the bolt right above the door handle with a 10mm socket
- As it loosens pull on the door handle
- Remove the handle

step 2 :Installing the New Door Handle
- Insert the handle into the car door
- Tighten the 10mm bolt above the door handle

In this video, we replace the inside door handle on this 1998 Dodge Ram. It's the same as any 1994 to 2001. It's very easy. You just need a 10mm socket with a ratchet and extension.
In behind your handle is a bolt. You can either use a T30 Torx driver or a 10mm socket and ratchet. Get it off.
The new handle from 1A Auto, is the exact same as the old handle. If your handle broke because your mechanism is catching or whatever, make sure that you spray a lot of lubricant into your latch mechanism; that should help free things up.
The new handle just goes right on, insert the screw. Start it into the hole a little bit. Tighten it up nice and firm and you're all set.
