Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.

In this video, we show you how to remove and reinstall the front driver side door handle. It's pretty much the same as any front or rear door on these vehicles, and the only tools you'll need is a flat blade screwdriver, 10mm socket with a ratchet, and a Phillips screwdriver.

Okay, take a small screwdriver, there's a little kind of trap door right behind the handle here, pry that right out. Carefully go up under the back of your power switch plate here, pry up, and then this comes up and out, and you'll disconnect a harness here by pressing on a button. The button is in the back. Press and pull, and then this one, same thing, little button, press and pull. Okay, take your screwdriver again and kind of pry in behind this panel here. This trim, just carefully, firmly pull it out. The trim pulls out.

Now there are three 10mm bolts to remove: one right back in there, one right there, and one right behind your door handle. Just speed it up here as we remove those three 10mm bolts. Again, one from behind the handle and two from behind the pole. Okay, once you remove those, you need to just kind of grab the side panel here, pull firmly, and then go up. Just pull out these cables. Pull firmly, away from the door, and then the cable comes up. Same one with here, firmly away from the door, and you just have to probably hold your lock button and pull the cable up and out. Then down further, there are these two connections, same thing as the other one this little button.

Okay, the back of the handle is right here and it has four Phillips screws. Okay, I'm just going to speed up as I remove those four Philips screws. And once you get the screws out, there's a little tab here. Pull that up, another tab over here, and the handle comes out. The bezel comes out.

Now you reinstall your handle. Okay, and I'm just going to speed it up here again as I put in. I basically started each screw by hand first, make sure everything's positioned correctly, and then tighten it up with obviously a Phillips screwdriver. And when you tighten them, you want to tighten them nice and firm, but you don't want to over tighten them. You don't want to strip out any of the plastic or anything, and then the screws don't hold as well.

Okay, now take the trim bezel, put right in there. Just goes right on. Okay, reinstall the door panel. Get it kind of close and plug in our harness connections down here. Make sure they're clipped in. Now up here the one with kind of the L shape goes on top, that's your lock, it just goes into a little hole. Down in the hole, swerve around. This one goes in the hole and swings around pretty easily. Make sure these harnesses go up into that well there.

Press the panel against the window, slide it down into place, make sure we have our harnesses, line up the pins, and wrap around. Speed up here as we reinstall those two 10mm bolts behind the door pole. Connect the switch panel. The front down in first and then lock the back in place. Make sure it all goes down. Put this panel into place. Put the bolt back in here. Okay and put our little trim door on there.
