step 1 :Servicing the Tail Light Bulb
- Twist the tail light bulb socket counterclockwise and out
- Pull the bulb off the socket
- Push the bulb onto the socket
- If you are only servicing the bulbs, twist the bulb socket clockwise into the light

step 2 :Removing the Tail Light
- Remove the three 10mm nuts from the tail light
- Pull the tail light out
- Disconnect the tail light wiring harness
- Twist the bulb sockets counterclockwise out of the tail light
- Replace the bulbs if necessary

step 3 :Installing the Tail Light
- Twist the bulb sockets clockwise into the tail light
- Put the tail light into place
- Fasten the three 10mm nuts onto the tail light
- Connect the tail light wiring harness

In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the inner or the trunk lid mounted tail light. If you're just looking to replace the bulb, the tail light bulb is easy enough to get to with no tools. For the backup light bulb, as well as if you have to replace the whole assembly because it's broken, you'll just need a 10mm socket and ratchet.
If you break one of these inner tail lights or you just want to service a bulb, it's pretty easy, just open up the trunk. The tail light bulb is right here, which is really easy. It just comes down and pulls out, pushes back in. You push it in and lock it. This one right here is not so easy to get to. It's probably easier just to take out the light.
You just need a 10 mm socket with a ratchet and remove the three nuts. I'll just fast-forward a little bit as I take those nuts off. The light is stuck. It comes right up and out. Then for this light you have up here, this little tab right here, pull on it with your thumb nail or a screwdriver, disconnect the light, and it comes out.
Once you have the light out, turn this counter-clockwise. That comes out. Press the tab, and turn counter-clockwise, and that comes out. Then just pull on the little tab right here. Pull the whole harness right out.
Here's a new light from 1A sAuto. Just take your harness, clip it right into place, put the bulbs in, turn clockwise, and lock. Do the same thing with this one: turn it clockwise to lock it in. It's going to go right in the same way. Speed it up here again as I just tighten up those nuts. Then plug that right in. You've got yourself a nice replacement light.
