Hi, I'm Don from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and the next time you need a part for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.

In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the idle air control valve on this 2002 Suzuki Xl7. The only tool you're going to need for this is a Phillips screwdriver. Your idle air control valve is located right here.

Start out by pulling the tab on this harness and pulling it free. Then remove these three Phillips screws. We'll fast-forward as Don does this. You'll see he uses a screwdriver for the first two, and if you have a small enough one you can use it on the bottom screw as well, but we use a ratchet and Phillips bit. It just makes it a little bit easier.

Once those are removed, you can pull your control valve off. You want to pull off this O-ring as well. Put the O-ring onto your new one if it doesn't already come with a new one. You don't want to double up with these. Then push the idle air control valve into place and replace those three Phillips screws. Then reconnect your harness and you're all set.
