In this video we're going to show you how to replace the idle air control valve on this 2004 Chrysler Sebring with the 2.7 liter V6. It's a pretty easy task. You'll need an 8mm socket with a ratchet, and possibly an extension, as well as a new valve.

The valve is located right in behind the air intake hose, on the driver side of the engine, to the rear. You can see that there is a connector. Press the tab, pull it back and off. Then there are two 8mm bolts: one down there that you can see and one opposite of it. We're using a deep socket 8mm. You could also use just a regular 8mm socket but you would probably need a small extension to be able to get around the connector. Once you have those bolts out, the idle air control valve comes right out.

Then go back in with the new one and thread the bolts in first by hand. Make sure you have them in a few turns so they don't crossthread. Then tighten them back up with your 8mm socket and ratchet. Once it's all bolted in place just make sure you reconnect the harness.
