Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we'll show you how to replace the idle air control valve on this 2005 GMC Savana 2500 with the 6 liter V8 engine. The only tool you'll need is a T20 Torx bit and a ratchet. We're just going to show you, first, the idle air control valve is right here. What you want to do is you just want to pull back on the tab and disconnect that harness. Then there are two T20 bolts that secure that idle air control valve. We'll just fast forward as he removes those two T20 bolts. Once the bolts are out, the control valve will come right out.
With your new idle air control valve just insert it back into position with that O-ring on it. Then replace those two T20 bolts. Now we'll fast forward as he tightens those with the ratchet. Now you just want to plug in that harness again, and you're all set.
