Your intake air temp sensor is located in the hard plastic elbow coming out of your air box, right before your mass airflow sensor. To remove this, unclip it. Disconnect the connector, simply wiggle it up and out of its gasket.

Your intake air temp sensor is an important part of your vehicle's gaging of airflow. The mass airflow sensor gages the mass of air coming into the motor, where your intake air temp sensor helps it determine the temperature and thus density of the air, which is also going to affect your air fuel ratio.

A bad IAT or intake air temp sensor can cause rough running conditions, rough idle, poor air fuel mixture leading to poor gas mileage and power.

Fortunately, it's easy to replace. You'll just take your new one, pop it back into the gasket, and reconnect the connector.
