step 1 :Removing the Hood Support Strut
- Have an assistant hold the hood
- Pry out the retainer on the hatch with a pick
- Repeat for the lower side
- Remove the strut

step 2 :Installing the Hatch Support Strut
- Insert the hatch strut into place
- Press the hatch into place
- Repeat for the other side

We're going to open the hood. There's a tab you pull on the left next to the footrest. We're going to release the lever right above the emblem. Going to start by releasing this retainer tab top with a right angle pick, and we pull it out. You're going to want to have someone hold the hood for you so it doesn't hit you on the head. Do the same on the bottom, release the tab and pull it straight out.
Now we're going to reinstall. I'm going to take and line it up with the ball and you push on until it clicks. Do the same with the top: line in up with the ball, push on, and make sure it's good and tight.
