Hi, I'm Don from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the hood strut on this 2014 GMC Terrain. The only tool that you're going to need for this is a flat blade screwdriver, or a pick, and you're going to need a person to hold the hood up while you remove the strut.
The strut's held on with a clip down here that you just have to pry out, and there's another clip up here, You've got to do the same thing. You just pry it out and pull it off the stud. Have someone hold the hood, and then do the top one.
Take your new strut, push the bottom part onto the stud, and it'll reclip. Do the same thing with the top one, and you're all set
