How to Replace High Beam Bulb 2000-07 Volvo V70

1. step 1 :Removing the Bumper Cover 0:25

   • Remove the top clips from the bumper with a trim tool
   • Pry off the three black outer bumper trim piece with a body tool
   • Lift the plastic cap from the headlight wiper
   • Remove the 8mm nut from the headlight wiper arm
   • Lift the headlight wiper arm up and off with locking pliers by placing the pliers behind the arm and pressing on the stud
   • Remove the 12mm mounting bolts from the front of the bumper cover
   • Remove the T20 Torx bolt behind the fender well
   • Pull the bumper cover back
   • Disconnect the wiring harness
   • Disconnect the headlamp wiper assembly hoses
   • Repeat for the other side
   • Remove the bumper cover

2. step 2 :Removing the Headlight 6:33

   • Remove the T25 Torx bolts from the headlight
   • Remove the lower 10mm bolt and clip
   • Remove the six 10mm mounting bolts from the headlight
   • Remove the adjusting screw from the wheel well
   • Pull the headlight out
   • Disconnect the wiring harness
   • Remove the headlight

3. step 3 :Removing the High Beam Bulb 8:42

   • Turn the cover counterclockwise
   • Turn the 9005 high beam bulb counterclockwise
   • Disconnect the wiring harness
   • Remove the bulb

4. step 4 :Installing the High Beam Bulb 9:30

   • Connect the wiring harness
   • Turn the bulb clockwise
   • Seat the cover
   • Turn the cover to the close position

5. step 5 :Installing the Headlight 10:05

   • Connect the wiring harness
   • Press the headlight into place with the headlight wiper motor behind the headlight
   • Tighten the six 10mm mounting bolts to the headlight with the plastic clip in place
   • Tighten the lower 10mm bolt and clip
   • Tighten the T25 Torx bolts
   • Tighten the adjusting screw

6. step 6 :Installing the Bumper Cover 13:52

   • Insert the bumper cover into place, threading the headlight wiper hose through
   • Press the cover into place
   • Tighten a 12mm bolt to the cover
   • Connect the wiring harness to the bumper
   • Tighten the T20 Torx screw to the bumper
   • Tighten the 12mm bolts to the cover
   • Connect the hose to the headlight wiper arm
   • Insert the headlight wiper arm into place
   • Tighten the 8mm bolt to the wiper arm
   • Close the plastic cover on the wiper arm
   • Press the plastic cover to the exterior of the bumper cover
   • Press in the clips to the top of the bumper cover
