Hi, I'm Mike Green. I'm one of the owners of 1A Auto. I want to help you save time and money repairing and maintaining your vehicle. I'm going to use my 20-plus years experience restoring and repairing cars and trucks and like this, to show you the correct way to install parts from 1AAuto.com. The right parts, installed correctly; that's going to save you time and money. Thank you, and enjoy the video. In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the headlights on this 1992 Lumina; pretty easy, all you need is a 10mm wrench or socket and ratchet, and a Phillips screwdriver.

Okay, so you're looking to replace a headlight on a Lumina. If you're just look to replace a headlight bulb it's pretty easy, there's a little panel here, you just kind of pull it back and up out of the way, and then you can see back in here. Here's your light-bulbs, and I'm going to pull those up and out of the way. Okay, so you just twist them, you twist them counterclockwise if you're looking at them from the back. Okay. If you had a little fender bender or something, or your lights are dull and need to be replaced or scratched up, it's pretty easy. What I do is take out these three screws here. There's one, two, three.

Okay, what that allows us is it gives the grill someplace so you can get that light out of there. Okay, now there's six bolts; one, two, three, four, five and six. Those are 10 mm bolts, I'm going to remove them real quick. Okay, now you have these bolts removed, the headlight just really kind of pulls out, and you have to push your bumper cover down a little bit and then, there's your headlight, out of the vehicle. Okay, so you can see this is a new headlight from 1A Auto. Okay, everything is going to bolt in the same. It's got the same mounting points as the old headlight, down here too; headlight's, the bulbs actually go in the same way and everything. The new headlights from 1A Auto will go in there. Okay, so I'm going to put the light back in. You want to get the inside in behind that grill, and you want it tilted it down towards the car. Once it starts going in, just kind of a little force. Pretty much there, there it goes, okay. Now I'll start a couple of them bolts here.

My six bolts are started, and I'll tighten those up. Now I'm just going to use a wrench to do the final tightening and make sure these are snug. They don't have to be super-tight, but with this plastic you're going into, you want to make sure they're tight. Okay. Last, put the bulbs in. Okay, put this panel back in, put our screws back in for the grill, and that's how you do it; just a Phillips screwdriver, and a 10mm socket and wrench.
