step 1 :Removing the switch
- Push the dial in and turn to the right
- Pull it out
- Push down on the tab of the electrical connector
- Remove the switch

step 2 :Reinstalling the new switch
- Reconnect the electrical connection
- Line up the switch
- Push it in and lock it in place

In this video we will be removing and reinstalling a headlight switch in a 2010 Volkswagen GTI. All right, to remove this headlight switch, we're going to push the dial in and turn to the right, and then we're going to pull it out. That pushes these clips down, as you can see. I'm going to push that in and turn it. We've got a connector here. I'm going to push down on the tab and pull it right out.
To install the headlight switch, put the connector back in, line it up. Line the headlight switch up, so straight up and down. Then, unlock it.
