How to Replace Headlight Switch 2006-10 Dodge RAM

All right friends. To get started on this headlight switch, what we wanna do is get underneath the driver side dash, and we're gonna remove our two mounting screws that hold this plate on right here.
Now let's just go ahead and grab onto this and we're gonna give it a nice tug, should wanna pop off. Get the wiring off of there and we'll set this aside. The next thing we wanna do is remove these two screws along here. We're gonna put our key in the on position and pull our shifter down. Let's go ahead and carefully grab onto this, give it a little tug. Gonna work our way up and around here. If you needed to, you could use something such as a plastic trim tool to try to separate this. That looks pretty great. Now if we give this a nice tug back here, we can see the wiring. Go ahead and disconnect that. Always check your wiring, make sure you don't see any funny colors. We'll set that aside.

Now we're gonna remove our three mounting screws. You'll see one here, one up there, and then one over on the other side. There's that one. Let's go ahead and give this a little push, see if we can get this out of here. There it is friends. Now it's gonna be time to install our brand new headlamp switch. Let's go ahead and pull this away. Slide this in from the backside of the facial plate. We're gonna set it so it lines up with its bolt holes. And of course now we'll start in all of our bolts and then we'll snug them up. Let's grab our wiring. Reconnect that in. Listen for the click, give it a nice tug. Now we're just gonna line everything up. We wanna go along the top of the dash here. Make sure all of our little are sliding down into where they need to go. Line up everything along here. Once it looks as though it looks fairly decent, give it a nice loving bonk. Perfect. Put in your mounting screws. Let's get this back connected in. Slide that into there, line this up with approximately where it needs to go. The shifter back up there. Setting pretty good loving bonk. Let's start in both of those screws. Let's mount them up. Of course the next thing you would wanna do is put the key in the on position and test everything else.
