Watch this video to learn how to install a new headlight switch assembly on your 2003-06 GMC Yukon.
First thing you wanna make sure the steering wheel column is all the way down. So, adjust it to the lowest position. Turn the key on. With your foot on the brake shift all the way down to first gear. Now, we're gonna grab this panel right here and just slide it out. It slides out just like that. While I'm working on this shift back into park, turn the key off. Just take a pocket screwdriver, go underneath the switch right here. Just try to grab and pull it out a little bit. Then there's a tab right here. So, there's a tab on the top and two tabs on the bottom. Slide the switch right out. Disconnect the connector right there. Push down on that lock pin and slide the connector out. All right. Take the new light switch, line the connector up, lock it in place and slide it back in position. Make sure the steering column is all the way down again. Push on the brake, shift into first. Take this trim piece and just slide the bottom in first. Just carefully slide this in position. Now, sometimes it's a little tricky to get the bottom to line up. There's some pins on the side. Get the pin lined up, get that pin lined up and try to push it straight on. And that looks good. Shift it back in park, turn the key off, readjust the steering wheel.
