Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.

In this video, we'll show you how to replace the grille on this 1998 Honda Civic. It's the same part and process on these Civics from '96 to '98. The only items you'll need are a new grill from 1A Auto, flat blade screwdriver, and a Phillips screwdriver.

Lining the top of your grille are five clips. Using a flat blade screwdriver, pull up the center and then pry up the lower part, and we'll fast forward as Don does the rest of these. The bottom of your grille is held in with four Phillip screws. You can see them right here and the best way to get to them is to reach through that lower grille on the bumper cover and we'll just fast forward as Don removes each of them and once those are removed, the grille pulls right off.

You can see in the back is the old grille and the front is the new one from 1A Auto, they are identical, they'll mount exactly the same. Take the emblem from your old grille and put it onto your new grille. You may need a screwdriver to pry it off. Ours is just falling off on its own; it wasn't very difficult and then you want to put the grille into place and then we'll just fast forward here as he replaces those four Phillip screws. You'll notice he puts the screw onto the screwdriver and then feeds it up in there. What can help you, is a little dab of glue on the end of the screwdriver to hold the screw up on the driver until you get it in place. Now, push in those four clips, pushing in the outside first and then pushing down the center to lock them and now you are all set.
