How to replace a broken, damaged or burnt out glove box light bulb to the 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 Volkswagen GTI.
Hi, I’m Mike from 1A Auto. We’ve been selling auto parts for over 30 years!
We're going to replace the glove box light bulb. Open it up. Can see it's not working. So you're going to take a flat blade tool, a screwdriver and pry up in this tab. And it pulls right out. These two clips right here, you're going to push down on those two clips. Pull the wires out the connector and then we're going to have to separate this clear plastic from this metal cage. So I'm going to go in the corner with a flat blade screwdriver, pry up a little bit, and do the same for the other side. You can bend it a little bit. Just bend it back when you put it back in. Now let's separate and you can gain access to the bulb. Pull the bull out, push our screwdriver right at the base of the bulb. Push it out.
For the sake of the video we are going to put an amber bulb in. It's 194 bulb. Push it down. I'm going to take this, position it back in, push it down. Push your clips in. Push down in the middle tabs. Reconnect the wire you can line up the connector. Push it in. As you can see it works. Push it back in the hole. Slide it in this way and then you're going to have the tab. Push it up into place.
