step 1 :Removing the Door Handle
- Remove the Phillips screw from the door handle
- Pry out the door handle rod clip
- Lift the door handle rod up and out
- Remove the door handle

step 2 :Installing the Door Handle
- Insert the door handle rod to the door handle
- Clip the door handle rod in place
- Tighten the Phillips screw to the door handle

In this video, we're going to show you how to replace an interior door handle on this 2002 Suzuki XL7. We show you on the driver's door, but it's a similar procedure on the other three doors. The only tool that you're going to need for this is a flat blade screwdriver and a Phillips screwdriver.
First you want to remove this Phillips screw in the door handle. Now pull the door handle forward and pry this clip off the door handle rod. Then lift the door handle rod up and out.
Take your new door handle and push the rod into place. Reclip it. Then push your door handle back into place and replace that Phillips screw. You're all set.
