Hi, I'm Mike Green. I'm one of the owners of 1AAuto. I want to help you save time and money repairing and maintaining your vehicle. I'm going to use my 20 plus years experience restoring and repairing cars and trucks like this to show you the correct way to install parts from 1AAuto.com. The right parts installed correctly, that's going to save you time and money. Thank you, and enjoy the video.

In this video, we'll show you how to remove and install the door panel. We're going to do the driver's side on this 95 Accord. It is pretty much the same as any 94 to 97. The only tools you'll need are a Philips screwdriver, probably a regular screwdriver, and then you'll also need a putty knife and a rag. You'll see how we use them.

Removing a panel is actually quite easy. There are just a few screws you need to take out. One down here in the door pull, and then one in behind your door handle here, right there. Those are both Philips screws.

Once you have this one out, you can pull the door handle forward and out. Then behind the door handle there's a little clip here which you can usually get off with just your thumb. Then pull the lock rod out. Then you're door lock switch with your thumb, there's a little tab here, press, and it comes out. If this is your passenger side switch, you also would unplug your power window switch. Then this whole assembly pops up and out. There are some clips in here that will probably give a little more resistance than this one did. There's a clip here that holds it underneath. It comes up and out. Here again you have your mirror switch which has a tab here that you can press with your thumb and pull down. Then your power window switches or harnesses, they are tabbed in behind. I'm pressing with my finger here, pulling down, again and behind pressing with my finger, pulling down and it comes out.

Now, basically you want to take a rag and a putty knife, and there are just clips around the outside edge of the door. Force that, get in behind, and slide up or down until you feel like you've come to one of those clips. You can feel it just popped. This will be more difficult if your door panel has never been apart. I believe on this car, the door panel has been apart a few times. Once you get it somewhat, you can kind of just go like that. This little triangle right here pulls off. Then your door panel comes up and off. The only last thing is to disconnect your light here. I'm just going to use a screwdriver to help me push it right out. This has an aftermarket speaker on it up here which most cars won't have. So it requires me to disconnect a couple wires here. My door panel is off.

To reinstall this door panel, this car has aftermarket speakers, so I'm just going to reinstall those real quick. Once that's done, then you want to reconnect your courtesy light which plugs in right down here. Make sure you bring your switches right through, and then you got your power door lock switch. Put the door panel up on here. Make sure your door lock comes through. Push it against the window and down. Again, make sure your harnesses are up and out. Then you can find the placement of your pins. Put your power window switch back in. Re-hook up your mirror to connections on the power window switch here. This one's giving me a little trouble. There it goes. Push this down and in, then forward, and then down. Install the screw. Now your door handle, just pull your rod out, force it into the hole, spin your clip around, and we clip it. Hook up your power door lock switch, push it in, and then slide it back. And your Philips screw. Then my piece of trim broke off, but then you clip your trim down. Last but not least, this kind of goes down in first, and then presses right on.
