Hi. I'm Mike from 1AAuto. We've been selling auto parts for over 30 years!

In this video today, we're going to show you how to replace a fog light bulb, in a 2000 Nissan Pathfinder.

Now, we have our vehicle raised up. You do not need to raise the vehicle to do this. We're going to start with a flat blade screw driver. You could also use a trim tool. I'm going to take this piece of trim out, just pry underneath here. There's some clips, and it should pry right out. It clips right there and right there. It's held in like that.

We're going to take the assembly out. There's two 10 millimeter bolts right here. I'm going to use a 10 millimeter socket, an extension, and a ratchet. Once we have those out, we can pull on the fog light. There is some tabs right here. You want to slide it towards the center of the vehicle. We'll flip it over. There’s some water in this wiring harness. We have a connector right here. To release it, we're going to push down on the tab, and then wiggle it back and forth and pull it out. This is how you would change the assembly, if you need to replace the whole assembly.

On the back of the assembly, you are going to grab this section right here. We're going to twist to the left, and then we'll pull it out. There's a seal on that and a lock. In here, this little white wire that's braided, we're going to pull that. That goes to the bulb. This other wire, we'll just set aside. There's a little retainer right there. We're going to push down on the retainer, push to the left, and then you got to pull up. Then the bulb will come right out.

Here's our new bulb. This is an H3-N bulb. There is a square tab and a round tab, so you're going to line that up on the assembly, right there. So we'll push that in, just like that, and that's lined up like that, and push down on the retainer. Now, this little part is going to go under that clip. It's going to hold it in. Once that's in, you can reattach this wire into this slot, over here. Push that in. Then we're going to line this slot up right there, push it down, and then turn to the right and lock it in.

We're going to reconnect the electrical connector. Make sure there's no dirt in there. It looks okay. We'll just slide it on. It should lock in, just like that. Then these two slots are going to go in over here. Slide those in first and line up the holes for the bolts.

I'll take the two 10 millimeter bolts. Get those started, and then I'll use my ratchet to tighten them down. We'll just tighten them snug. Remember, it is plastic so you don't want to over-tighten it. It'll crack the plastic. Remember this fog light assembly is glass, so you don't want to drop it.

Now, we'll reinstall this trim piece. We're going to slide this side in, like that. Then, push it in.
