In this video we're going to show you how to service the air cleaner on this 2002 Mercury Sable. This vehicle has the 3.0 liter, Duratec 24-valve V6. It's pretty easy. You don't need any tools.

Servicing the air cleaner in this car is pretty easy. There are two clips: one here, and then there's one in the back side. Then pull this kind of out and up, like that. Then you can pull your air cleaner right out and any debris . there's leaves and stuff stuck in here . pull that out.

With the new air filter, put it right down in. Make sure you get your filter seated in, and you can see that there are two slots down there at the bottom and then two tabs on your housing. Push this down, and make sure those slots go in, and reclip it.
