In this video, we're going to show you how to service your engine air filter, and remove and reinstall it on this 2005 Hyundai Elantra. Pretty easy operation. You will need a 10mm wrench or a socket and ratchet.
I've located the air box that has the air filter just behind the battery on the driver side. I'm going to remove the 10mm bolt on the top. I'm going to move the shield out of the way a little bit. There is one clip here, another clip here. I'm just going to pull them off. On the back side, you're going to see two tabs: one here and one below the mass airflow sensor. I'm taking the cover off by sliding it forward and up, holding it out of the way, and removing the air filter.
If you notice any debris inside the air box, take it out as well.
I'm reinstalling the air filter the same way it came out. Sliding the rear tab, slide tab in, and I'm going to attach one clip, two clips. Put the shroud back down and reinstall my 10mm.
