How To Replace Engine Air Filter 1997-99 Cadillac DeVille

In this video, I'm going to show you how to service the air filter on this 1997 Cadillac DeVille, same as most '94 to '99 vehicles. The only tool you'll need is a flat blade screwdriver.

The air filter is right under here. You want to remove this rubber elbow. Loosen up these two clamps with a regular screwdriver. That should get them loose. Give it a twist. With that out of the way, you can unplug the sensor here. There's a clip here. Push it that way and up. There's another clip down here. This comes up and off. Then here's our air filter. The one in this vehicle, it looks like it's actually fairly new, so we won't replace it.

We can put it in. Make sure it goes back down in and it's nicely seated. There are tabs here that go in. You want to tilt it up. Set it up and push it forward. Then make sure . in here, something is not right. I actually had to just kind of pull out on the bottom of the box and then it went right down in. Get your elbow. I usually just put this end inside on first then push this down and on then tighten your hose. Before we get too far, we get our sensor. Plug it in.
