How to repair, install, fix, change or replace a dirty, dusty or clogged air filter on 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 Volkswagen Jetta.
Hi, I’m Mike from 1A Auto. We’ve been selling auto parts for over 30 years!
To remove the air filter housing, these T25 bolts are located here, here, there's one here, here, and there's two on the very back underneath the intake side that need to be removed.
To start, you're going to remove your secondary air injection pipe by pinching firmly on the sides, pulling back, and removing the bolts with your T25. After you've loosened all your hardware, you're going to lift up on the housing, and grab the corner of your filter. Just release it upward.
To place a new filter in, lift up, clearing your housing out of the way, slide your filter in your tray, place it back down, and tighten back up your hardware. To place your secondary air injection pipe back on, place over the fitting, and push.
