Push the two retaining tabs on your air box forward and pop it up, slide it towards you to release it from the hooks, and remove the air filter from the air box.
Now this one is nice and clean. It's actually brand new, but you want to check and make sure that there's not a lot of dirt and debris, no moisture or oils on it, and that there aren't any tears in the filter material. If there are, you'll go ahead and replace it with a new one like this. It simply drops in. Push down and back to engage the hinges in the back of the air box. Push down until both the hooks lock into place, and you're good to go.
