In this video, we go over how to remove and reinstall the air filter on this 2005 Dodge Durango. This vehicle has the 4.7-liter. I believe this procedure is the same for this Durango anywhere from the 3.7 to the 5.7-liters. No tools are necessary.

If you're careful, just pull right underneath here. What you do is grab onto this piece of plastic over here and pull up. It actually acts as a big lever. You pull up, pull this lid out, and your filter comes right out. This filter looks like it's basically brand new.

When you go to put it back down, there are two tabs right here. You want to push it forward. Get those tabs in, okay then it goes down. Just kind of move so it is over the air filter the whole way, and then push this down right over here.
