In this video, we show you how to remove and reinstall the air filter on this 2006 Chevy Malibu with the 3.5-liter or 3500 V6 motor. This is a really easy repair and all you need is a T25 Torx screwdriver.
It's pretty simple. There are two T25 screws: one here and then one right over here. Bring up these screws. Okay, now the air box comes up. Your filter comes out.
When you put it back down in make sure it's seated correctly, and you really want to tilt your air box like this. Get these three tabs to go underneath, okay. Really tilt it up. Then kind of shake it down and lock it into place. Put your two screws back in.
