In this video, we're going to show you how to replace an air filter on this 2003 Mercury Mountaineer and there's no tools required for this procedure but we do recommend that you have a vacuum.
Start off by just opening up your hood. Then, push on this tab and lift the hood up and your air box is located right here. To open it, you just want to lift up on this clip and then pull back the top. We do it again right here. Then lift up the top of the air box, and slide the tabs back, and then lift the filter out.
We'd recommend that you vacuum out all the debris inside your air box. Take your filter, which you would put down in. Then and there's three tabs here. Push them then into the side and reclip.
