step 1 :Remove the air filter
- Remove the 3 screws securing the top of the air box.
- Take the air filter off

step 2 :Install the new air filter
- Put the new filter in
- Secure the air box down with your screwdriver.

In this video we're going to show you how to remove and replace your air cleaner. This is an 04 Trailblazer, same for any 02 to 09 Trailblazer Envoy Ascender Rainier, Olds Bravada, and Saab 97X.To get your air cleaner you're going to remove this cover here, and there's three screws, one, two, and there's another one down in here, but this vehicle is actually missing it. You can see the hole right down in there. You just want a nice big screwdriver, flat blade, or a large Philips. We'll speed up here a little bit as I just take out those screws. Again, this does have a third screw in it, but my vehicle was missing it. So just pull this cover by pushing it or pulling it over to the side and back, and you pop it out.
Here is the air cleaner, it's just right down in there and very nicely this looks like a fairly new air cleaner. You can just pull up on this whole tube, the air cleaner comes off. Like I said, this looks like it's still new, so I'm not going to bother replacing it. Put it back on. Put the air cleaner onto the tube. You can lift this one out. Put it back down in. This one goes right back down in. I take our cover and push it back down and in, start to screw, start to screw up here. We'll speed up again. As you can see it is a pretty simple replacement. Once you know how to do it, it keeps your car running good. And if you have this screw, you screw that one too.
