Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the air filter on this 2003 Chevy Monte Carlo. The only tool you'll need for this is a flat blade screwdriver.
Start off by lifting up the tab and disconnecting the harness to your mass air flow sensor, and then loosening up this hose clamp, using a flat blade screwdriver. Pull the hose free and tuck it down and underneath the mass air flow sensor. Lift up on these tabs on your air intake box and then slide this outside part of your intake box up and out. Now your air filter will just pull forward and out.
Take your new air filter and make sure you brush out the inside of your air intake box. Then push your new air filter into place. Take the outside of your air intake box and slide it back down and reconnect the intake hose. Once you get it into place, line up the tabs on the bottom of the outside part of the intake box into the slots and push it down into place. Then reclip these two clips, once you have that lined up. Make sure the arrows are lined up. Then tighten up the hose clamp. Now reconnect your harness and you're all set.
