In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the air filter on this 2000 Toyota Celica. The only tool that you're going to need is a 10mm socket and a ratchet.
Here's your air intake box. You just want to flip back these metal clips. There's one here and there's another one on the back side. Then, you want to just disconnect your mass airflow sensor. Using a 10mm socket and ratchet, you can just loosen this bolt up on this clip, and this will allow you to push the air intake box back. Then, you can just reach inside and pull your air filter out.
You don't have to do this, but we recommend that you vacuum out your air intake box.
Now, feed your new air filter down into place and close your air intake box up. You want to make sure that on the side of the front of the vehicle, it lines up properly, and this will ensure that you can clip these clips back down. You can tighten up that hose clamp, and plug your mass airflow sensor back in.
