Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we're going to show you how to service an air filter on this 2000 Buick LeSabre, it's the same as pretty much any LeSabre from this era. It's a pretty easy operation. The only tool you'll need is a flat blade screwdriver.
Your air filter is located right in here. There is a clamp right here. You'll want to use a regular screwdriver to loosen, and then these two clamps just go like that. Okay, just use my flat blade screwdriver to loosen this large clamp here. Grab onto this part of the hose right here, and you'll want to pull it off the engine first. Twist and pull it from the air box there. Then you can take your door, open it right up and pull the filter out. This filter's actually in pretty good shape.
Put the filter back in place. Make sure the filter is sealed in there correctly. There's these slots at the bottom. There's tabs on the door there. Make sure this goes down in. Press the bottom against the filter. Push it in. Latch our tabs right down on. Push your air intake hose right in between. Push it onto the engine first. You'll want to twist it so this tab lines up right with that. Twist it. Pull it on while you're twisting it. Loosen up this pin a little more and seat in there right. Now tighten up that clamp.
