Hi, I'm Don from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and the next time you need a part for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we are going to show you how to replace an air filter in a '97 Buick LeSabre. You'll need a long flat headed screwdriver. This process is pretty similar to most GM vehicles with this engine type.
The air filter is located in the driver side front. Right in here and there's two Phillips head or flat head screws that hold it together. We go ahead and remove those two screws. They actually have a washer that keeps them attached to the housing, but they become loosened enough that it separates. Once you've got those loosened, you can separate the air box, go ahead, pull it back, and pull your filter out.
I've got the filter, put back into the housing, and we go ahead, push it down, and make sure that all the sides line up. The holes are lined up for my screws. I am going to go ahead and tighten them back up.
