Hi, I'm Don from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and the next time you need a part for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the air filter in this 2004 Volkswagen Jetta with the 1.8T engine. The only tool that you're going to need for this is a flat blade screwdriver.
Your air intake box is located right here. You want to just loosen up these two Phillips screws. We'll just fast-forward as Don does that. Now lift up the top of your air intake box and push it towards the inside of the vehicle. Then lift your air filter up and out.
Take your new air filter and feed it down into place. Then push the top of your air intake box back towards the front of the vehicle so that those tabs go into those slots. Then push the other end down and start tightening up those Phillips screws. Once you've tightened them up, you're all set.
