How to replace a door mounted courtesy bulb on 88, 89, 90, 91, 92, 93, 94, 95, 96, 97, 98 GMC K1500

step 1 :Removing the Door Courtesy Light
- Pop out the courtesy light with a door panel removal tool
- Disconnect the wiring harness

step 2 :Removing the Bulb
- Press the locking tab and remove the bulb
- Pull the bulb out of the socket

step 3 :Installing the Bulb
- Press the bulb onto the socket
- Press the socket into the courtesy light
-
step 4 :Installing the Door Courtesy Light
- Connect the wiring harness
- Pop in the courtesy light

Here are the items you'll need for this repair: pick tool
Using the trim tool pop out on the door reflector and remove the connector. This is another one of the ones we'll have to lift up on the tab with a pick. Change the bulb in your courtesy lamp.
You'll need to use a pick or a small screwdriver to push down on the locking tab and pop it out. Remove your bulb.
Install a new bulb and place the socket back into the housing.
Reinstall your reflector.
