How to repair, install, fix, change or replace a damaged, worn out, faulty or shorted power door lock switch on 01 Ford Focus.

step 1 :Removing the Door Lock Switch
- Pry off the trim cover in the inside door handle with a flat blade screwdriver
- Remove the T20 screw from the door handle
- Pry off the door handle trim with a trim tool
- Disconnect the door lock switch wiring harness
- Pry out the door lock switch with a flat blade screwdriver by pressing the tabs on each side of the switch

step 2 :Installing the Door Lock Switch
- Press the door lock switch into the inside door handle trim
- Connect the wiring harness
- Press the door handle trim into place
- Tighten the T20 screw to the inside door handle
- Attach the trim door to the inside door handle

Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. We've been selling auto parts for over 30 years!
Now, this little cover, right here, just take a small screwdriver, get underneath there and pop that cover off. There's going to be a T-20 screw in there, so we use a T-20 torx bit, extension, and a ratchet. Take this screw out. Pull that screw out. All right. We're going to pull this trim piece off--just use a trim tool. Slide in underneath here and pop this off. Pop this side off and just pull it out. You're going to disconnect these electrical connectors. Looks like this one is messed up a little bit, so I'll just use a little pick. Push down and pull that connector off. Then, over here, this connector right here, push that one down. Pull that connector off.
All right. To remove the lock, I'm going to take a flat blade screwdriver. Come on the backside, putting a little bit of pressure on it. I'm going to push this tab in, like that, and we'll flip it around. A little more pressure and push that in. Then it will push through just like that.
With the trim piece up like this, there's two little tabs on the switch. You can see there's two little slots in there for that. So, just slide the switch in and lock it in. All right. This wiring harness comes up like this. Connect that to the lock. It's supposed to slide in over here like this. Then we're going to connect the window switch back here, just like that. Snap that in place and, over here, get this lined up. Click that in. And we'll take our torx screw and get that started. Then we'll snug it up. Take this little cap and push it on. Snap it in place.
