step 1 :Removing the Light Cover
- Pry the cover off with a flat blade screw driver
- Remove the cover

step 2 :Replacing the Bulb
- Pry out the light bulb
- Install the new light bulb and make sure it is correctly seated into the connections

step 3 :Reinstalling the Light Cover
- Line up the tabs on the cover
- Press in until it clicks in

In this video, we will be removing and installing an inside door courtesy light on a 2008 Subaru Outback. We're gonna take our screwdriver right under here, in this little area, and push it under the clips. And just pry out. See this? Four clips. You wanna get them from the bottom. When you're replacing the bulb, if your bulb was burnt out, just grab something, stick it behind it, and just pull it out straight, like that.
When reinstalling, you're gonna push the bulb like this. Remember, it's gonna get hot once it is on, so do it quickly. Push this in. Now, put the cover back on, put the cover on, put the bottom parts in first, and then snap it in up top.
