How to replace a broken interior dome light on 96 GMC Sierra K1500 pickup truck.

step 1 :Removing the Dome Light Assembly
- Pry out the lens with a flat blade screwdriver
- Remove the two Phillips head screws from the light
- Pry out the assembly from the ceiling

step 2 :Installing the Dome Light Assembly
- Snap the bezel around the new light
- Press the assembly into the ceiling
- Tighten the two Phillips head screws with the ground strap on the passenger side
- Press the lens on to the light

Here are the items you'll need for this repair.
Pry out the lens to the dome light. Using a Phillips head screwdriver, remove the two screws. Be sure to remember that this one on the passenger side has the ground strap on it. Pry out the assembly and remove it from the vehicle.
Snap the bezel back around the rest of the dome light housing. Make sure you have it set the same way it came out. Push the assembly back into place and reinstall the two Phillips head screws. Remember to secure the ground strap on the passenger's side. Pop the lens back into place, and you're good to go.
