How to remove, install, change or replace a failed camshaft position sensor on 07, 08, 09, 10, 11, 12, 13 Mini Cooper
Hi, I’m Mike from 1A Auto. We’ve been selling auto parts for over 30 years!
What's up, guys? I'm Andy from 1A Auto. Today I'm going to show you how to remove and reinstall a cam sensor in this 2007 Mini Cooper S. If there's any parts that you need for your vehicle, click the link in the description and head over to 1AAuto.com.
The cam sensor is located right here. To disconnect it, we're going to pull this connector off. There's a little lock right here. You're going to lift up and then slide the connector out. Pull it off like that. Then I'm going to use a eight millimeter socket extension and ratchet. We're going to take this bolt out right here. Pull that out. We can grab the sensor. Gently wiggle it back and forth, and pull it out.
I'm going to take the cam sensor and line it up with the hole. Just wiggle it down a little bit. Take this bolt and get it started. Take my eight millimeter socket and snug it down. Take a ratchet, and I'll just tighten it snug, not too tight. And then take this connector, line it up, and lock it in place.
