Hi, I’m Mike from 1A Auto. We’ve been selling auto parts for over 30 years!

The cabin filter is located here in the passenger side footwell. We have to remove this foam cover. There are some threaded little, kind of, they're almost like wingnuts. You can just undo them with your fingers. If they're super tight, you could put a small Phillips head screwdriver in there, but they should just unthread just like that. You put those aside. There are three of them. Just kind of find them. This foam piece can come down. It's very flexible. Just slide it right out and put it aside.

Cabin filter is behind this white door. It's got a nice handle on it right here, so I'm going to pull it to the outside of the car. It'll pop right down. Cabin filter already wants to come out. Kind of reach up in there and slide it right out. It's pretty dirty. Just slide it out. You should change these once a year. This is our old filter here. It's got this little flap, so I'm just going to line up our new filter with the flap the same way it came out, and we'll slide it up into position.

It's pretty flexible, so you might have to just kind of bend it a little bit to get it into the opening. Once you get it started it'll slide right up, right into place. Kind of hold it with one hand, and I'm going to slide the cover. The cover has little lock tabs. There's two here, two here, and these actually lock in these little posts here, so you've got to kind of start it behind them. That's in a bit of a groove, so hold it up and then push it forward to get it started. They're kind of wedge-shaped, so they'll lock in place, and then just push it home. Give it a good push, and that should lock in place. There it is, and that's seated over these little tabs, so that's in there.

Now reinstall this foam insulation. This edge needs to go behind this plastic, so I'm going to start it by going up this way. I'm going to fold it, get it behind the plastic, and then pull it forward. It slides into place. That should be good there. Take one of our little wingnuts, screw this up into place, and just repeat this for the other ones you took out, and the job is complete.
