Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.

In this video, we're going to show you how to change the cabin air filter. It's a pretty easy process. Actually, this is something a lot of people don't even know they need to change on their vehicle. This vehicle only has 40,000 miles, and you'll see that the filter in it is already pretty dirty. The only tool you'll need is either a flat blade screwdriver, or a pair of bent nose pliers.

You're going to start out at the back of the hood here, on the passenger side. There's 2 clips, one here, and then one right down here. The center of these clips pry out. Usually once you get them moving a little bit, you can grab onto them. Firmly pull and move them around. The center pin comes out and then you can pry the clip itself out as well. Same thing goes for this one down here. It's just a little tougher because of where it is. I'm fast forwarding as I show you taking this other clip out. Basically, use your screwdriver, pry it in a few different places, then reach down with your fingers and try and pull it up and out. If you have a pair of bent nose pliers, or something like that, those would help out quite a bit.

Open and support the hood. There are three more clips: one here, one here, and then behind this pad, right there. These are just like the other ones. Get your screwdriver underneath, pry up on the clip at different angles. It comes right up. Once you have those clips up, you probably might need to pull back on this pad a little bit because it might be stuck to this panel some. You just lift this panel right up and here's your filter. Grab your filter. Pull it right down and out. You can see it's got a lot of stuff in there. New filter from 1A Auto. See the airflow arrows? You want those pointing up. Feed it right down in here. These are flexible, so you can feed it down in there. What I'm doing here is I feed it in place and then I put the side up, that's closest to me, lock that in place, then reach way in, pull on the outer edge, and then push it up into place. Feed in the back side first. I'm going to reach in and pull it towards me. Feed it up there, so now it's all in.

Then pull this panel right back down. Put our 3 pins back in place. As I'm lowering the hood here, those pins, you want to have the center pulled out. You put them back in and then you push the center down to lock them. I'm going to put my two clips back here. Make sure you turn them so you can still get a screwdriver right into them pretty easily. On these pins, you put the clip part, or the pin part, in first, and then put the centers in afterwards to lock them in place.
