How to repair, install, fix, change or replace a dirty, dusty or clogged cabin air filter on 14 Subaru Crosstrek
Hi, I’m Mike from 1A Auto. We’ve been selling auto parts for over 30 years!
Here's the cabin air filter. Open the glove box. There's a little damper on here. Going to pop this off. Going to push in on both sides. Basically, just getting it past these little stops. Cabin air filter is sitting behind this door here. Pop it open, two hands, unlock it. That's okay, that clips back on.
There's the cabin air filter filled with nasty dirt. You can see your blow motor in here. This keeps all that from going into your blow motor, and ruining the blow motor. There is a direction of flow. The arrows need to be pointing down. This is the back of the filter. Going to turn it around. It's going to go. Slide right into the same spot the old one came out of, clips, locks into place.
Take our glove box, so it just popped off. The hinges just clip onto the plastic down here, so I'm going to pop it back in, get it all lined up, just like that, push it past those stops, and don't forget the damper, slide it down, clip it on, cabin air filter's replaced.
