Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto, we've been selling auto parts for over 30 years.

Hey, everyone. Sue here at 1A Auto, and today I'm going to show you the location and how to remove and cabin air filter on a '03 Volvo V70. If you need that part or any other part for your car, click on the link below and head on over to 1AAuto.com.

The first thing I'm going to do is remove the undercarriage sound panel click panel. It is a T25. And there's two screws. Pull that down. And we're going to remove the glove box. You start by opening that, and then there's the two tabs on each side and there's the piston in the back inside here. And what we're going to do is grab that piston on the top, and just pull it off the tab. And then you'll have in the back here, two ear tabs, and you're going to pull those up. And over here. And that's the glove box.

Now we're going to remove the screws that hold the back part of this glove box in the junction area. So they're T25 also. There's three on the side, two on the top, and three on the other side. And just work your way right around to the other side. So I counted eight total bolts, and then I see that there's a harness that we're going to have to disconnect, that should be the glove box light, interior light. There we go. Okay. And then we have the wire harness for the glove box light. So I'm going to push that tab down and slide it out. And there is another dome light down here. And the connector is on the inside, so pull down on that tab and disconnect it. So now we have the glove box out of the way.

So the cabin air filter, now that the glove box is up and out of the way, we can see the cover right here to the cabin air filter. There's two tabs in the back, and there's four mounting screws--they're T25. Remove those. I like to use a socket style to get to the back ones. So I'll use a little quarter inch set up. Sometimes you don't take them all the way out. I'm going to because I don't want to damage the filter, the new one going in, and it's not hard to get to.

Now with the four screws out of the way, I'm just going to grab this cover. Pull it down right out of there. And here is the cabin filter. It seems to have a little bit of--It's not that bad actually. You can see how it's tilted at an angle, that's the way the air box is designed, so when you put it back together, make sure that you put it at that angle. And alls you would do is reverse procedure. Line it up and slide the filter up. It clicks in. There's a couple little like grabby ear at the top. And once it's in place, take your cover, put the two tabs in place, and slide it up. And just reverse putting the bolts on. Last one.

Now I'm going to put the glove box back in, and the first thing you wanna do is connect this little interior light, it's a green connector and it goes right here, under the silver box. Hear it click in. And don't forget we have the glove box light. Line them up. You gotta click into place. And take the housing, and line the housing completely up with everything. There was eight mounting screws--they're T25. So I'm going to start it by hand. Snug one of them right down so I don't have to hold it the whole time. And now I can go completely around and install all eight of them. The last screw.

That's all eight screws around. I'm going to bring this up. Don't forget, we have to connect the little shock they have in here. So you're going to push it real quick and snap these little ears around this plastic. Now that it stays there, and I can put my hand up in there, put this shock right on that pinnacle. It's got a little drag, so pull on it. Just pull it up and line it up. It snaps into place. Close the glove box.

Okay. Now it's time to put the last thing up, is the kick panel underneath here, insulator. Okay. All these little tabs, make sure all the tabs go into place. Two of my screws. Last. There you go.
