step 1 :Removing the Bumper Step Cover
- Pull out around the cover
- If the cover will not remove, remove the license plate
- Clamp the tabs on the step cover to remove it

step 2 :Installing the Bumper Step Cover
- Press the cover into place
- Use a non-marring mallet to press the cover into the bumper

Here is your step pad. It can get wiped out by a trailer. Sometimes they just get broken. If you want to remove it, just pull firmly if it's not already broken. I've got my new one here. If it's not coming off, remove your license plate. Then you can reach right in, squeeze these tabs, and that should help you get it off. If you're not patient enough with the plier method, you can always just use a crowbar and pull the old one off.
Here's our old one. It's actually in pretty acceptable shape. New one from 1A Auto, it's an exact replacement. It's going to go on, look a lot nicer, and go right in to the same slots as the original. Just going to use a non-marring mallet here. We'll use the end of the mallet and then just a rubber mallet to drive it in the rest of the way.
