In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the bumper mounted trailer hitch cover on your 2008 Dodge Ram 1500. The only items you'll need for this repair include a flat blade screwdriver if you're removing an old broken one or need to pop this off to gain access to the trailer hitch mount, and a new bumper mounted trailer hitch cover from 1AAuto.com.

There are three tabs located on the back of your bumper mounted trailer hitch cover, and three corresponding slots over your bumper mounted trailer hitch. Simply press the cover into place to keep rust and water out, and to keep this from corroding, as well as giving your bumper a nice smooth look.

When it's time to reinstall your bumper mounted trailer hitch, simply pop the cover off with a flat blade screwdriver.
