Brought to you by 1AAuto.com your source for quality replacement parts and the best service on the internet. In this video we're going to show you how to replace the brake light switch on this 2003 Ford F250; same as any 99 to 06 F250 and plenty of other trucks of this era.

You actually don't need any tools although a flat blade screwdriver might help and I will apologize in advance; I was filming with one hand and doing the repair with the other so some of the angles aren't the best. Eight millimeter wrench just got to connect the battery cable underneath the dash, you can use a screwdriver or just your thumbnail and you just want to turn these push them in and turn them counter clockwise. Ending up underneath, okay so a clip here, just use your finger and push that clip up and off, okay then pull out some and once you get out a certain distance you can just pull it down, okay and then press right here and pull out a part to disconnect it.

A new switch from 1A Auto and install exactly the same, take your connector, plug it in, okay. Up here what you want to do is pull this rod kind of out to the edge, okay, and that part goes up and around so I'm pushing up but I'm also kind of pulling out and all the way up and push it on. Now I'm taking my clip and push it right down. Okay, we'll just kind of fast forward here, put the panel back in place, push in the pins, turn them clockwise to lock them. Then obviously reconnect your negative battery cable.
