In this video, we're going to be showing you how to replace the blower motor resistor in your 2003-2007 Cadillac CTS. The items you'll need for this repair are an eight millimeter socket and ratchet with an extension, as well as a Phillips head screwdriver.
Locate the plastic cover under the passenger's side of the dash. Remove these two eight millimeter screws at the back up against the firewall. There are also two Phillips head screws located at the front of the panel. Remove these with the Phillips head screwdriver. Release the two plastic retaining clips securing the panel under the dash. Pull down and hang it out of the way so you can access the blower motor resistor here in the heater box. Remove this electrical connector. A Phillips head screw with a number two Phillips head screwdriver. Remove the blower motor resistor from the housing.
Reinstall the blower motor resistor. Insert the Phillips head screw, and reconnect the connector. Pop the cover back into place under the dash. Reinstall the two Phillips head screws at the front of the under-dash cover. Reinstall your two eight millimeter screws at the back using an eight millimeter socket and ratchet.
