Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.

In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the blower motor fan assembly, as well as the blower motor resistor in this Dodge Ram. This one's a 2008, but the procedure is the same for 2002 to 2008. You'll need a new blower motor and resistor kit from 1AAuto.com, a Phillips screwdriver, as well as an 8mm socket with a ratchet and extension.

Your blower motor resistor is located under the dashboard on the passenger side, just below the glove box. We'll disconnect the electrical connector, and remove these two #2 Phillips head screws. Remove the resistor from the bottom of the HVAC box.

Disconnect the electrical connector, and remove the three 8 millimeter bolts. There's one in the back here that you're not going to be able to see. We're going to use an 8 millimeter socket ratchet and extension. Remove the blower motor from the HVAC box.

Here we have our old part that we removed from the vehicle, and our new part from 1A Auto. As you can see, they're identical. We have this ceramic heat-sink on the top of the resistor here, the same 4-pin connection at the bottom, as well as the same two bolt holes.

Here we have our old part that we removed from our vehicle, and our new part from 1AAuto.com. As you can see, we have the exact same size fan cage here, as well as the same base and mounting locations, the same motor, and the same 2-pin connector on the bottom.

Install your new blower motor into the HVAC box. Reinstall the three bolts, tighten the bolts up with your 8 millimeter socket ratchet and extension, and reconnect the electrical connector.

Install the new blower motor resistor into the bottom of the HVAC box, and start your two Phillips head screws. Tighten them down with your #2 Phillips head screwdriver. Reconnect your electrical connector.
