2007 Mazda 6 Heater Blower Motor with Fan Cage (excluding Speed Model). How to repair, install, fix, change or replace a bad or broken blower motor on 07 Mazda 6
6mm Socket
Ratchet
Hi, I’m Mike from 1A Auto. We’ve been selling auto parts for over 30 years!
Hi, everyone. Sue here at 1A Auto, and today, on our '07 Mazda 6 sedan, we're removing and replacing the blower motor. If you need any parts for your car, click on the link below and head on over to 1AAuto.com.
The blower motor is located on the passenger side under the glove box. To remove the blower motor, it's down here on the passenger side floor right under the glove box, so the first thing we're going to do is disconnect the electrical connector, which is in the back here. There's a tab. You're going to push on that tab, and then pull down on the connector. We're going to remove the electrical connector. Push in on this tab and pull down. Simply wiggle it out. There's your connector. Move that aside.
You're going to have four mounting bolts. They're 6mm socket size. I'm just going to pull those right out of the plastic. Just undo them. I'm going to hold out the blower motor with my right hand and take that last screw out.
Now, you want to be careful of any debris that might fall out, and there's your acorns. I'm just going to drop it on the floor. Make sure you get it all out.
We're going to reverse process to hook it back up, replace it. You can start them by hand. I'm going to put two in across from each other so it will hold this blower motor up so I have both free hands. The last two, then we'll hook up the last of the blower motor connector. Then I'm going to hook up the clip that came out. Pop that in place, then I'm going to reconnect my electrical blower connector.
That's it. You're all done. Vacuum your floor. You're ready to go.
